Maruti e Vitara Launch Date for India Confirmed

Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed the launch of its first electric SUV, the Maruti e Vitara. After months of speculation, the company will finally reveal its price on December 2, 2025.

This marks Maruti’s entry into India’s fast-growing electric vehicle market.


Production and Availability

The e Vitara is already being produced at Maruti’s Gujarat plant. The first 6,000 units have been exported to Europe and the UK.

In India, the SUV will be available in:

  • 3 variants
  • Around 10 colour options

Battery, Range and Charging

The e Vitara will come with two battery options:

  • 48.8 kWh battery
  • 61.1 kWh battery

Both versions will use a front-wheel-drive, single motor setup.

Key details:

  • Range: Up to 500 km on a full charge
  • Fast charging: 0 to 80% in 50 minutes

This makes it practical for both daily use and long drives.
