
Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed the launch date of its first all-electric SUV, the e Vitara, ending months of speculation. Prices will be revealed on 2 December 2025, marking Maruti’s entry into India’s fast-growing EV market.
Production & Market Rollout
The e Vitara is already in production at Maruti’s Gujarat plant, with the first 6,000 units exported to Europe and the UK. For India, Maruti will offer the electric SUV in 10 colours and three variants.
Battery, Range & Charging
The electric SUV will be available with:
- 48.8kWh battery (FWD, single motor)
- 61.1kWh battery (FWD, single motor)
- Claimed range: 500km (full charge)
- Fast charging: 0–80% in 50 minutes via DC fast charger
