VinFast Limo Green Spotted Testing in India with 450km Range

Shortly after VinFast patented the Limo Green eMPV in India, a camouflaged test mule has been spotted on Indian roads, confirming the brand’s next step in its local expansion plans. The upcoming VinFast Limo Green is an all-electric multi-purpose vehicle (eMPV) designed to combine practicality, premium comfort, and eco-friendly performance.

Exterior Design and Dimensions

The India-bound Limo Green shares much of its styling with the Vietnam-spec version, showcasing VinFast’s signature minimalist design language. The eMPV measures 4.7 metres in length, 1.8 metres in width, and 1.7 metres in height, with a 2.8-metre wheelbase, making it larger than its closest rival, the Kia Carens Clavis EV.

Notable exterior features include:

  • Black wheel arch claddings for a rugged look
  • Dual-tone ORVMs with integrated turn indicators
  • Sleek LED daytime running lamps (DRLs)
  • 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels

The overall design appears clean yet futuristic, aligning with VinFast’s growing global aesthetic.

Interior and Features

Inside, the VinFast Limo Green offers a spacious seven-seat configuration, catering to family and fleet buyers alike. The cabin is tech-focused, featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a four-speaker audio setup. Comfort and convenience are supported by single-zone automatic climate control, multiple USB ports, and practical storage options across all rows.

Suspension duties are handled by a multi-link rear setup, which should ensure a balance of comfort and stability—especially important for India’s diverse road conditions.

Battery, Range, and Charging

Powering the VinFast Limo Green is a 60.13kWh battery pack paired with a 150kW motor producing 280Nm of torque. The eMPV claims an impressive range of up to 450km (WLTP estimate) on a full charge.

Charging capabilities include DC fast charging (80kW), which can replenish the battery from 10 to 70 percent in around 30 minutes. VinFast also offers an eight-year or 1,60,000km battery warranty in its home market, a policy that may extend to India.

The battery chemistry is expected to be NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt), known for higher energy density and long-term durability.

Production and India Plans

VinFast is likely to assemble the Limo Green locally at its upcoming Thoothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu, alongside the VF 6 and VF 7 SUVs. The brand has already begun establishing its VGreens charging network across India, promoting free charging access for early adopters of its EVs.

This move signals VinFast’s intent to compete directly in India’s growing electric MPV segment, where competition remains limited.

Expected Launch and Rivals

While an official India launch date hasn’t been confirmed, the VinFast Limo Green is expected to debut in mid-2026, following the rollout of VinFast’s initial SUV lineup. When launched, it will primarily rival the Kia Carens Clavis EV, potentially undercutting it with a mix of local assembly and aggressive pricing.

Verdict

With the Limo Green, VinFast is positioning itself as a serious EV player in India’s multi-purpose vehicle segment. The combination of premium styling, long range, local production, and a strong charging ecosystem could make it a strong contender for buyers seeking an electric family mover.
