Toyota Recall India 2025 has been officially announced by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), impacting a total of 4,863 units of the Camry, Vellfire, and Land Cruiser. The voluntary recall aims to fix a potential software issue in the Parking Assist Electronic Control Unit (ECU), which manages the 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor used for rear-view image display.

Reason Behind Toyota Recall India 2025

According to Toyota, the recall involves reprogramming the ECU software to ensure optimal camera functionality. This affects the system’s ability to properly display rear-view images under certain conditions.

The company clarified that no safety incidents or customer complaints have been reported so far in India. The campaign has been launched purely as a precautionary and proactive measure to maintain Toyota’s benchmark standards for safety and reliability.

Models and Units Affected

The Toyota Recall India 2025 campaign includes the following models and production batches:

  • Toyota Camry: 2,257 units manufactured between 18 July 2024 and 23 September 2025
  • Toyota Vellfire: 1,862 units produced between 19 July 2023 and 12 May 2025
  • Toyota Land Cruiser: 744 units built between 31 May 2023 and 28 July 2025

Toyota’s authorised dealerships will contact affected customers directly to schedule the inspection and software reprogramming.
