Porsche has officially unveiled the Cayenne Electric, marking one of the brand’s most significant EV launches yet. The new Cayenne EV will be sold alongside the ICE-powered Cayenne and is available to order in India starting at Rs 1.75 crore for the standard variant and Rs 2.25 crore for the Turbo. Like the Taycan and Macan EV, the Cayenne Electric pushes performance boundaries with extreme power figures, advanced technology and Porsche’s signature driving feel.
Performance and Powertrain
The Cayenne Electric is offered in two variants, both featuring a dual-motor AWD setup powered by a 113 kWh battery.
Turbo variant:
– 1,156 bhp and 1,500 Nm
– 0–100 kmph in 2.5 seconds with boost mode
Standard variant:
– 440 bhp and 835 Nm
– 0–100 kmph in 4.8 seconds
Porsche claims a driving range of up to 642 km, depending on configuration.
Charging Technology
A major highlight is Porsche’s new Wireless Charging system, a first for the brand. Using 11 kW inductive charging, the car charges automatically when parked over a floor-mounted pad. The Cayenne EV also supports 400 kW DC fast charging.

Inspired by Formula E tech, the SUV offers up to 600 kW of regenerative braking, handling up to 97 percent of everyday braking through the motors alone.
Design, Dimensions and Interior
The electric Cayenne grows in size compared to its petrol counterpart:
– Length: 4,985 mm
– Width: 1,980 mm
– Height: 1,674 mm
– Wheelbase: 3,023 mm
The design remains unmistakably Porsche — muscular, modern and aerodynamic. Inside, the cabin uses Porsche’s latest layout with a 14.25-inch OLED central touchscreen and an optional 14.9-inch passenger-side display.
Market Positioning
The Cayenne EV will be sold alongside the combustion-engine Cayenne, unlike the Macan which is now EV-only in some markets. Global deliveries begin in the second half of next year, with India deliveries expected shortly after.
