Tata Motors is gearing up to bring back one of its most iconic nameplates as the all-new Tata Sierra makes its India debut tomorrow. After months of teasers, concept previews, and camouflaged test mule sightings, the production-ready Sierra is finally set to step into the spotlight.
- Price Announcement on 25 November
- Available in Both ICE and EV Versions
The revived Sierra will launch with electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) options. The EV variant has drawn most of the early attention thanks to its clean, closed-off fascia, full-width LED light bar, and smooth surfaces. In contrast, the ICE version wears a more assertive front end with a prominent grille and rugged styling cues.
Both models stay true to the Sierra’s legacy with a modern reinterpretation of its signature glasshouse design. The upright stance and squared-off proportions pay homage to the original SUV while giving it a contemporary, urban-ready appeal.

Premium Interior with Modern Tech
Inside, the new Sierra is expected to feature:
- A triple-screen dashboard layout
- Premium upholstery and materials
- Spacious seating with flexible configurations
- Panoramic sunroof
- Connected car tech
- Ventilated front seats
- Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
The cabin has been designed to feel both futuristic and practical, aligning with Tata’s new-age interior philosophy.
Expected Powertrains
Tata Motors will reveal full specifications at the debut, but early expectations indicate:
- The ICE version will use Tata’s new-generation turbo-petrol engine
- The EV version will be based on the latest Gen 3 architecture, paired with a long-range battery pack for better efficiency and performance
Pricing and Positioning
Variant-wise details and pricing will be announced closer to launch. The new Sierra is expected to be positioned below the Harrier in Tata’s lineup, targeting buyers looking for a stylish, tech-loaded, and future-ready mid-size SUV.
