Mercedes-Benz has officially released the first images of the second-generation GLB’s cabin, offering a clear glimpse of the major upgrades coming to the brand’s popular 7-seat SUV. Scheduled for its global debut on December 8, 2025, the new GLB promises a significantly elevated in-car experience, with Mercedes describing the interior overhaul as a “massive step up” from the outgoing model.
The fresh design direction is immediately apparent. The dashboard features a more sophisticated layout with cleaner lines, new materials, and a noticeable boost in perceived quality. Larger digital displays, updated MBUX software, and redesigned air-vents contribute to a more modern and tech-forward environment. Mercedes has also upgraded the ambient lighting system and introduced new upholstery options, expanding personalisation choices for customers.

The next-gen GLB continues to offer a 7-seat configuration, but Mercedes says it has improved comfort in all three rows through better packaging, more supportive seating, and enhancements to cabin insulation. Practicality remains a core focus, with flexible seating, generous storage areas, and a new centre console designed for easier access and usability.
The first-gen GLB was discontinued in India in April 2025 after a little over two years on sale. With Mercedes now preparing for the rollout of the new model globally, the brand is expected to reveal more powertrain details, variant features, and market-specific plans in the coming weeks.
The second-generation GLB aims to blend family-friendly versatility with a premium, high-tech interior—an evolution that could make it a stronger contender in the competitive luxury SUV segment.
