Mahindra has achieved an impressive milestone by selling over 30,000 units of its all-electric SUVs — the BE 6 and XEV 9e — within just seven months of their launch. These models, part of Mahindra’s Born Electric (BE) lineup, have quickly become some of the fastest-selling EVs in India, reflecting the brand’s growing dominance in the electric SUV segment.
Deliveries of both SUVs began in March 2025, and by September, Mahindra had already surpassed the 20,000-unit mark. Now, with cumulative sales hitting 30,000 units, the company has set a new benchmark for rapid EV adoption in the country.
Built on Mahindra’s INGLO electric platform, both the BE 6 and XEV 9e are available with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, offering a range of up to 683km on a single charge. These models combine futuristic design, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable performance, catering to both city commuters and long-distance travelers.

The BE 6 serves as a dynamic mid-size SUV, while the XEV 9e is positioned as a premium performance-oriented electric SUV. Together, they highlight Mahindra’s evolving strategy to transition from traditional internal combustion engines to a fully electrified vehicle portfolio.
With the strong market response to its electric SUVs, Mahindra is now preparing to expand its EV range further. The carmaker has confirmed that it will soon launch its first electric seven-seater SUV — the XEV 9s — later this month, further strengthening its position in India’s rapidly growing EV market.
This milestone not only demonstrates Mahindra’s leadership in the electric mobility space but also underscores the increasing consumer confidence in homegrown EV technology and innovation.
