Mahindra Achieves Record Sales in October 2025: 71,624 SUVs Sold, Highest Ever

November 1, 2025

Mahindra & Mahindra has registered a landmark achievement in October 2025, setting multiple sales records and reinforcing its dominant position in India’s SUV market. The company reported its highest-ever monthly UV (utility vehicle) sales at 71,624 units, marking a 31% year-on-year (YoY) surge compared to 54,504 units sold in October 2024.

This surge in SUV demand enabled Mahindra to post its highest total sales (domestic + exports) at 1,20,142 units, reflecting 26% YoY growth over the 95,841 units retailed in the same month last year. The figures also show strong momentum compared to 1,00,298 units sold in September 2025, signaling robust consumer confidence ahead of the festive period.

Massive Growth Powered by SUV Demand

Mahindra’s expanding SUV portfolio continues to be the biggest growth driver for the brand. The company’s rugged and feature-rich lineup — including the Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar, Bolero and Bolero Neo — continues to enjoy strong demand. Recently-launched updated versions of the Thar, Bolero, and Bolero Neo have further accelerated sales traction.

The brand’s YTD (April–October 2025) performance also highlights its upward curve, with SUV sales rising 17% to 3,69,194 units, up from 3,14,714 units during the same period last year.

Mahindra is also gearing up for a major EV push with its upcoming Born Electric (BE) and XEV EV lineup, further strengthening its future product pipeline.

Looking ahead, the company has ambitious plans to introduce eight new SUVs in India during FY 2026–27, signalling aggressive expansion in core and electrified segments.

“In October, we achieved SUV sales of 71,624 units, our highest ever. Total vehicle sales reached 1,20,142 units, a 26% growth YoY,”
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, M&M Ltd.

Commercial Vehicle and 3-Wheeler Sales Also Surge

Mahindra’s growth was not limited to the passenger vehicle market. The brand posted strong performance across its commercial and three-wheeler business as well:

Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV)

  • LCV under 2T:
    • Oct 2025: 4,559 units, up 16% YoY
    • YTD: 21,441 units, down 7%
  • LCV 2T–3.5T:
    • Oct 2025: 27,182 units, up 14% YoY
    • YTD: 1,41,358 units, up 13%

Three-Wheelers (Including EVs)

  • Oct 2025: 12,762 units, up 30% YoY
  • YTD: 66,340 units, up 32% YoY

This growth highlights rising adoption of Mahindra’s last-mile mobility solutions, especially in electric three-wheelers.

Exports Maintain Strong Momentum

Exports also strengthened, with Mahindra shipping 4,015 units in October 2025, marking a 15% YoY increase. YTD exports soared to 24,318 units, up 34% from the previous year.

Market Outlook: Momentum to Continue

With festive season demand peaking, competitive pricing, and a refreshed SUV portfolio, Mahindra is expected to maintain its strong momentum into the remainder of FY 2025–26. The upcoming EV lineup and next-gen SUVs further position the company for sustained leadership in the rapidly evolving Indian passenger and commercial mobility landscape.
