Mahindra Launches 180kW Ultra-Fast Charger Network in India

November 26, 2025

Mahindra has announced a major step forward in India’s EV infrastructure by introducing a new network of ultra-fast public charging stations capable of delivering up to 180kW. The initiative begins with two operational stations and will scale significantly over the next two years, aiming to support long-distance EV travel and improve charging accessibility across the country.

Network Rollout and Expansion Plan

Mahindra has branded its new charging network as Charge_IN. Two stations are already functional, and the company plans to install 250 ultra-fast chargers by the end of 2027. Alongside this, Mahindra intends to expand its broader charging ecosystem to over 1,000 touchpoints, combining fast charging hubs and partner locations.

First Locations and Capabilities

The first two Charge_IN stations are located at:

  • Hoskote, NH75 near Bengaluru
  • Murthal, NH44 near Delhi

Each site features two 180kW chargers, enabling the station to charge up to four EVs at once. The chargers are positioned on major highway routes to enable intercity travel and reduce range anxiety for EV users.

Charging Speed and User Experience

Mahindra claims that supported EVs will be able to charge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes, making these chargers among the fastest publicly accessible units in India. Charge_IN stations will be positioned near restaurants, cafés and other amenities to allow users to spend their waiting time productively.

Open Access for All EVs

While the network will support Mahindra models such as the BE 6, XEV 9e and the upcoming XEV 9S, it will also be available to EVs from other brands. Mahindra owners will be able to locate, charge and pay through the Me4U app, while other EV users will access the network via the Charge_IN by Mahindra app.
