Lexus has unveiled the 8th-generation ES, and it brings a big change to the luxury sedan lineup. For the first time, the 2026 ES offers both hybrid and fully electric models. This all-electrified approach gives buyers more choice while combining performance, efficiency, and luxury.

The hybrid models, ES 300h and ES 350h, feature improved 2.5-liter engines and upgraded batteries for better fuel efficiency. The new electric models include the ES 350e with front-wheel drive and the ES 500e with all-wheel drive and DIRECT4 technology. These EVs can travel up to 530 kilometers (about 330 miles) on a single charge. The ES 500e can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. Fast charging allows the battery to reach 80% in around 30 minutes, making long trips easier.

The 2026 ES is bigger than before. It is 165 mm longer and has an 80 mm longer wheelbase, offering more space and comfort for passengers. The design follows Lexus’ “Clean Tech x Elegance” style, with a flowing spindle body and connected LED tail lights. Inside, the cabin is packed with technology, including a 14-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, and “Hidden Tech” switches that appear only when the car is turned on. Safety is also upgraded, with Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 making its debut in this model.

With its hybrid and electric options, long-range capability, luxurious interior, and advanced technology, the 2026 Lexus ES sets a new standard for modern luxury sedans. It offers a perfect balance of performance, comfort, and efficiency.
