The Kia Seltos EV is shaping up to be one of the most awaited electric SUVs in India. Expected to arrive around late 2026 or 2027, this all-electric version of the popular Seltos could mark an important step for Kia in the country’s fast-growing EV market.

The Seltos name already carries strong brand value. It has been a favourite among Indian buyers for its bold design, spacious cabin, and feature-loaded package. By introducing an electric variant, Kia is not starting from scratch — instead, it is building on a proven platform and giving it a future-ready twist.

Reports suggest the Seltos EV may come with a battery pack between 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. With this setup, the SUV is expected to offer a driving range of around 350 to 450 kilometres on a single charge. For most buyers, that means stress-free daily commuting and enough range for weekend getaways without constant charging worries.

Technology is likely to be another strong highlight. The electric Seltos is expected to feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which may include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. These features not only improve safety but also give the SUV a more premium and modern feel.

In terms of pricing, the Kia Seltos EV is estimated to be positioned between ₹20 lakh and ₹30 lakh. At this range, it will compete directly with upcoming mid-size electric SUVs, including the Creta Electric.

If Kia manages to deliver a solid range, advanced features, and competitive pricing, the Seltos EV could become a serious contender in India’s electric SUV segment. For buyers planning to switch to electric without giving up space, style, and technology, this upcoming SUV could be worth the wait.
