Genesis is set to enter the luxury electric SUV market with its new GV90, launching in late 2026. As the brand’s flagship EV, the GV90 is designed to take on some of the world’s top luxury SUVs, offering a mix of performance, technology, and premium comfort.
The GV90 will be built on Genesis’ next-generation EM platform. It is expected to feature a dual-motor setup producing over 500 horsepower, sending power to all four wheels. Adaptive air suspension and electronically controlled dampers will ensure the ride is both smooth and dynamic. With a 99.8 kWh battery, the GV90 could offer over 300 miles of range, and 800V fast charging will make recharging quick and convenient for long journeys.
Inspired by the Neoloon concept, the GV90’s design is bold and upright, featuring Genesis’ signature two-line lighting. Rumors suggest it may include pillarless coach-style doors, adding a striking touch of luxury. Inside, the SUV will likely seat four and feature a large OLED display. Genesis’ “One of One” program will allow buyers to customize their GV90, creating a truly unique cabin experience.
The GV90 also emphasizes technology and versatility. It is expected to support bidirectional charging, meaning it can power homes or feed energy back to the grid. Advanced driver-assistance systems are anticipated, starting with Level 2 semi-autonomous features, with the possibility of Level 3 in future updates.
With its long-range battery, strong performance, luxurious interior, and cutting-edge technology, the Genesis GV90 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the electric SUV market. By 2026, it could set a new standard for what a flagship electric luxury SUV should be.
