Aston Martin has revealed a more powerful and performance-focused version of its Super Tourer, the Aston Martin DB12, introducing the new DB12 S. The latest model builds on the strengths of the standard DB12 while adding more power, sharper driving dynamics, and advanced performance upgrades.
At the heart of the DB12 S is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine developed with Mercedes-AMG. In this new version, the engine produces around 690 horsepower, making it even more powerful than the standard DB12. The extra power promises faster acceleration and a more thrilling driving experience, reinforcing the car’s reputation as a true high-performance grand tourer.
One of the biggest upgrades in the DB12 S is the addition of standard carbon-ceramic brakes. These high-performance brakes provide stronger stopping power while also reducing weight compared with traditional steel brakes. They are designed to handle intense driving conditions, whether on fast highways or demanding track sessions.
Aston Martin has also worked on improving the car’s overall handling. Engineers have refined the suspension and steering setup, allowing for more precise control and better feedback for the driver. The chassis has been made stiffer than the previous DB11, helping the car remain stable and composed even during high-speed cornering.
Visually, the DB12 S features subtle styling enhancements that give it a more aggressive stance while maintaining the brand’s signature elegance. The design blends modern aerodynamics with the timeless proportions expected from an Aston Martin grand tourer.
In the company’s lineup, the DB12 S sits between the luxurious touring character of the DB12 and the raw performance of the Aston Martin Vantage. Buyers will be able to choose between coupe and Volante convertible versions, with deliveries expected to begin in early 2026.
