Skoda is all set to bring its high-performance Kodiaq RS to India in June 2026, marking the arrival of the brand’s top-of-the-line 7-seater SUV. Positioned at the premium end of the Kodiaq range, the RS variant blends the practicality of a large family SUV with the sporty performance and styling cues that the RS badge is known for. With a limited number of units expected as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) import, the Kodiaq RS will cater to enthusiasts who want space, luxury, and driving excitement in one package.
Under the hood, the Kodiaq RS is expected to feature a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine delivering around 245 bhp, paired with an automatic transmission and possibly an all-wheel-drive system for enhanced traction and performance. While diesel options were available in earlier generations, the Indian launch will likely focus on the petrol variant, emphasizing quick acceleration and sporty dynamics.
The design of the Kodiaq RS reflects its performance-oriented character. It is expected to feature aggressive front and rear bumpers, larger 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black accents on the grille, mirrors, and roof rails, and dual exhaust tips. Inside, the cabin will continue the sporty theme with RS-badged sports seats, red contrast stitching, a digital instrument cluster, and carbon-fibre effect trim, combining luxury with a performance-focused ambience.
Pricing for the Skoda Kodiaq RS in India is estimated between ₹50 lakh and ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom), which positions it above the standard Kodiaq but below some of the entry-level premium SUVs like the BMW X3 or Mercedes-Benz GLC. Its competitors will include the Ford Endeavour, MG Gloster, and other premium 7-seater SUVs.
With its combination of space, performance, and premium features, the all-new Skoda Kodiaq RS promises to be a compelling option for buyers who need a versatile family SUV without compromising on sporty driving dynamics and modern luxury.
