Skoda Auto India has officially commenced deliveries of the new Octavia RS, priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Announced earlier this month, the high-performance sedan arrived via the CBU route and created an instant buzz, with all 100 units selling out on the first day of bookings.
A Quick Sell-Out and Strong Enthusiast Demand
The Octavia RS badge has always enjoyed a cult following in India, and the 2025 model proved no different. Enthusiasts rushed to secure the limited units, signaling strong demand for performance-oriented sedans even in an SUV-dominated market. Dealers have now begun deliveries across major metros, with many customers sharing their handover images online.

Performance: A True RS Experience
Under the hood, the new Octavia RS packs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 261bhp and 370Nm of torque. The power is delivered to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, ensuring quick shifts and a responsive driving experience.
Skoda says the sedan has been tuned for sharper throttle response, reduced turbo lag, and improved high-speed stability. During our track drive at the Buddh International Circuit, the Octavia RS impressed with its strong cornering grip, linear power delivery, and planted behaviour at triple-digit speeds.
Design and Exterior Highlights
Visually, the RS stays true to its sporty identity. Signature elements include:
- All-LED lighting package
- Gloss-black grille, ORVMs, and window surrounds
- Sporty front bumper and RS badging
- 18-inch alloy wheels (market-dependent)
The sedan’s wider stance, sharp creases, and lowered profile further distinguish it from the standard Octavia.

Interior, Tech, and Features
The cabin gets an all-black theme with contrast red stitching, reinforcing the RS character. Key features include:
- Dual digital displays (infotainment + virtual cockpit)
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Sport seats with enhanced bolstering
- Drive modes and adjustable steering modes
- Automatic climate control
- 360-degree camera for easier manoeuvring
Build quality, material finish, and switchgear continue Skoda’s reputation for premium interiors.
CBU Exclusivity and Market Positioning
As a fully imported model, the new Octavia RS is positioned as a niche performance product. Its limited numbers add to its exclusivity, making it a collector favourite among enthusiasts who want something fast yet practical for everyday use.
