Mini India has officially opened bookings for the new Cooper Convertible ahead of its market launch in December 2025. The drop-top version of the iconic Mini 3-Door hatch brings back its characteristic soft-top charm, now with updated tech and a performance-focused engine expected for India.
Design and Interior
The Cooper Convertible retains the same silhouette and design language as the hardtop model, the only major change being its fully electric folding soft-top roof that operates at speeds up to 30 kmph.
Inside, the layout remains identical to the standard Cooper, featuring:
– A large circular central touchscreen
– A row of toggle-style physical switches
– New textured dashboard elements and colour inserts
Engine and Performance
India is expected to receive the Convertible in the Cooper S specification with:
– 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
– 201 bhp and 300 Nm of torque
– 7-speed automatic transmission
– Front-wheel-drive layout
Globally, Mini also offers the Convertible in Cooper C and John Cooper Works spec, but the Cooper S remains the most likely choice for India.
