Mahindra has released the first teaser of the production-spec BE Rall-E, the road-ready version of the rugged 2023 BE Rall-E concept. The upcoming e-SUV will be unveiled alongside the new Mahindra XEV 9S at the brand’s Scream Electric event on November 26.
This marks the first official glimpse of Mahindra’s new Born Electric (BE) off-road-oriented SUV, which appears to retain several visual cues from the concept while adopting a more production-friendly design.
Design Overview: Inspired by the Rall-E Concept
Front-End Highlights
The teaser confirms a familiar—and aggressive—front fascia:
- Scooped-out bonnet design, similar to the BE 6
- Eyebrow-style LED DRLs, resembling those on the BE 6’s Pack One Above trim
- Circular projector LED headlights, inspired directly by the Rall-E concept
- A more prominent front bash plate, hinting at enhanced off-road credentials
This lighting setup clearly differentiates the BE Rall-E from other BE SUVs, giving it a distinctive, adventure-ready stance.

Profile and Wheel Design
From the side, the production-spec BE Rall-E retains:
- The sloping roofline
- Sharp, angular body creases
- Muscular proportions from the concept
However, some of the hardcore off-road elements have been toned down:
- The rugged steel wheels have been replaced with aero-optimised star-pattern alloy wheels
- The roof-mounted carrier from the concept appears to be removed in the final version
This suggests Mahindra is targeting a blend of practicality and adventure styling rather than full-blown off-road kit.
Rear Styling Details
At the rear, the teaser reveals:
- A roof-mounted spoiler
- Separate LED light bars (not connected like some BE models)
- An additional spoiler element above the tail-light housing
- A distinctive infinity logo on the tailgate
These touches give the BE Rall-E a futuristic yet purposeful appearance.
Sharp-eyed viewers can also spot front-seat headrests that resemble those on the current BE 6, indicating shared interior elements.

Powertrain Expectations: Likely Shared with BE 6
While Mahindra has yet to disclose powertrain details for the BE Rall-E, the SUV is expected to borrow its mechanicals from the Mahindra BE 6, which offers:
- 59 kWh or 79 kWh battery pack options
- Up to 683 km ARAI-claimed range (79 kWh battery)
- 231 hp or 286 hp single-motor RWD configurations
The BE Rall-E may mirror these setups unless Mahindra opts for off-road–specific tuning or introduces AWD at a later stage.
Interior and Features: Likely Similar to BE 6
Though the teaser does not show the cabin, the production-spec BE Rall-E is expected to feature a layout similar to the BE 6, including:
- A 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated BE logo
- Dual digital screens for instrumentation and infotainment
- Aircraft-style centre trim dividing driver and passenger areas
Potential features include:
- Powered and ventilated front seats
- AR-based head-up display (HUD)
- Driver monitoring camera with support for video calls
- 360-degree camera
- Powered tailgate
- Up to 7 airbags
These additions would place the BE Rall-E in line with Mahindra’s premium Born Electric lineup.

Expected Positioning and Rivals
As an off-road-flavoured BE SUV, the BE Rall-E won’t have any direct rivals in India. However, it will indirectly compete with:
- Hyundai Creta Electric
- Tata Curvv EV
- MG ZS EV
- Upcoming Tata Sierra EV
- Maruti Suzuki eVitara
The BE Rall-E’s unique blend of rugged styling and born-electric architecture will help it carve its own niche.
