The MG Windsor EV has recorded one of the strongest sales performances in India’s electric vehicle segment, becoming the fastest EV to cross the 50,000-unit milestone. Launched in September 2024, the Windsor has steadily grown in popularity, with its first 20,000 sales achieved within just six months. The remaining 30,000 units were sold over the next seven months, reflecting consistent demand.
MG attributes this success to its feature-rich cabin, strong value proposition, and the introduction of the Windsor Pro variant, which brought a larger battery and extended range. The brand has also gained traction by offering Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), allowing customers to lower upfront purchase costs by renting the battery pack.
MG reports that on average, five Windsor EVs have been sold every hour since launch, enabling the 50,000-unit mark to be reached in around 400 days.
