Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country’s largest car manufacturer, recorded an impressive sales performance in October 2025, driven by strong festive demand and the positive effects of the GST 2.0 tax reforms implemented in late September.
With 1,76,318 units sold in the domestic market, Maruti secured a 37.8% market share, reaffirming its dominance in India’s passenger vehicle segment. The company also had six models in the top 10 best-selling cars list, reflecting broad-based demand across its portfolio.
Sales Overview – YoY and MoM Growth

Impact of GST 2.0 on Maruti’s Sales
The GST 2.0 reforms, effective September 22, 2025, played a pivotal role in boosting sales. The revised tax structure reduced the effective cost of small and compact cars, making models like the Dzire, WagonR, Fronx, and Baleno more affordable. This pricing advantage, coupled with festive financing offers, significantly improved showroom traffic and conversions.
