Kia India has announced a significant expansion of its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program, further strengthening its position in India’s fast-growing organized used car market. The initiative includes extended warranty coverage for Kia cars, the inclusion of multi-brand vehicles under the CPO umbrella, and a renewed focus on transparency, quality assurance, and customer trust.

These developments reflect Kia’s strategic push to deliver an end-to-end ownership experience that goes beyond new car buyers, catering equally to the growing segment of pre-owned vehicle customers in India.

Extended Warranty for Kia Certified Cars

As part of the updated CPO program, Kia has extended the certification eligibility for its pre-owned cars from five years to seven years.

Under the new scheme, certified Kia vehicles will come with an extended warranty of up to 24 months or 40,000 km, whichever occurs earlier. This enhancement provides greater peace of mind to buyers while maintaining resale value and reliability for older Kia models in the market.

With the introduction of this warranty extension, Kia aims to ensure that even seven-year-old vehicles continue to offer manufacturer-backed protection, quality assurance, and premium ownership confidence.

Multi-Brand Cars Now Covered Under Kia CPO

In a bold step that broadens its customer base, Kia India has also announced that its Certified Pre-Owned network will now cover vehicles from other brands.

These multi-brand vehicles sold through Kia’s certified outlets will come with a warranty of up to 12 months or 15,000 km. This is a first-of-its-kind initiative for the Korean automaker in India, allowing customers to explore high-quality, verified cars from multiple manufacturers—all backed by Kia’s stringent quality standards and inspection processes.

175-Point Quality Inspection Process

Every vehicle sold under the Kia Certified Pre-Owned program undergoes a comprehensive 175-point inspection conducted by Kia-trained experts.

This meticulous process evaluates the car’s mechanical components, electrical systems, safety features, bodywork, and interior condition. Only those vehicles that pass this rigorous evaluation are certified for sale through Kia’s CPO outlets.

This ensures that every pre-owned car under Kia’s network meets factory-level reliability, quality, and safety standards, thereby giving customers absolute transparency and confidence in their purchase.

Kia India currently operates 114 Certified Pre-Owned outlets nationwide, making it one of the fastest-growing organized pre-owned car networks in the country.

The CPO business complements Kia’s strong performance in the new car segment, where models like the Seltos, Sonet, and Carens have consistently led their respective categories. With India’s used car market growing rapidly—projected to double in size by 2030—Kia’s focus on warranty-backed, quality-certified pre-owned cars positions it as a credible player in the organized used car ecosystem.
