Maserati has officially launched the all-electric Folgore versions of its iconic GranTurismo and GranCabrio grand tourers in India. The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore is priced at ₹3.05 crore, while the GranCabrio Folgore starts at ₹3.18 crore (both ex-showroom, India).
These new models mark Maserati’s entry into India’s high-performance EV segment, combining Italian luxury, electrified power, and exhilarating performance. Neither model currently has a direct rival at this price or performance level.

Performance and Powertrain
Both the GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore share the same advanced triple-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, featuring an 83kWh (usable capacity) battery pack.
This setup delivers a staggering 761hp and 1,350Nm of torque, with a boost mode temporarily increasing output to 829hp. The GranTurismo Folgore accelerates from 0–100km/h in just 2.7 seconds, while the slightly heavier GranCabrio Folgore achieves the same in 2.8 seconds.
Top speeds are rated at 325km/h and 290km/h, respectively — making them among the fastest electric cars available in India.
Range and Charging
Maserati claims a range of 450km (WLTP) for the GranTurismo Folgore, while the GranCabrio Folgore offers up to 447km per charge. Both models support DC fast charging up to 270kW, allowing quick energy replenishment — among the highest charging speeds in the Indian EV space.

The electric grand tourers are built on Maserati’s dedicated EV platform, ensuring excellent weight distribution and driving dynamics that maintain the spirit of their ICE predecessors.
Design and Interior
Visually, both Folgore models retain the timeless elegance of the petrol-powered GranTurismo and GranCabrio, with subtle tweaks like aerodynamic bumpers, closed-off grille elements, and ‘Folgore’ badging.
Inside, Maserati offers a dual-tone luxury cabin featuring a fully digital driver display, flat-bottom steering wheel, digital clock, and premium materials throughout. The cabin also features sustainably sourced trims and cutting-edge infotainment technology, emphasizing the brand’s transition toward sustainable luxury.

Positioning and Market Outlook
The GranTurismo and GranCabrio Folgore represent Maserati’s first step toward a fully electrified lineup, as part of the brand’s global “Folgore Strategy,” which aims for complete electrification by 2030.
With no direct competitors in their class, these models bridge the gap between ultra-performance EVs like the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and bespoke luxury GTs.
