The Jetour T2 has been spotted testing in India, bringing it one step closer to its expected Diwali 2026 launch. The SUV will arrive through a partnership between JSW Motors and Chery, marking the Chinese brand’s official entry into the Indian market.

What makes this sighting interesting is that the test vehicle was seen without camouflage. This gives us a clear look at its bold and upright styling. The rear design stands out with tall, vertical tail lamps and sleek piano-black detailing. The tailgate features a strong, boxy shape, adding to the SUV’s rugged appeal. High-set bumpers and a vertical rear door handle further highlight its tough and practical design.

The video clip of the SUV is said to have been recorded in Kerala. While only the rear section is clearly visible, it confirms that road testing has begun on Indian soil. This suggests that development for local conditions is already underway.

The Jetour T2 is expected to be introduced as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). With rising interest in electrified vehicles in India, this move could help the brand attract buyers looking for better efficiency without fully switching to an electric vehicle.

JSW Motors plans to assemble the T2 at its Maharashtra plant. Local production could help control costs and improve pricing competitiveness in the crowded SUV segment.

Earlier, the brand had teased the upcoming model in a dealer recruitment advertisement, hinting at its expansion strategy. Now, with testing in progress, the launch plans appear to be moving forward steadily.

As the festive season of 2026 approaches, the Jetour T2 could emerge as a fresh and bold new option in India’s growing SUV market. More details about features and specifications are expected in the coming months.
