VinFast is set to enter the Indian market with the VF3 electric SUV, and industry reports suggest the launch could take place on February 18, 2026. The compact electric SUV was earlier showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, where it gained attention for its bold design and city-friendly size.
The VinFast VF3 is expected to be priced from around ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom). With this pricing, it will compete with models like the MG Comet EV, Tata Tiago EV, and Tata Punch EV. VinFast is clearly aiming at urban buyers and first-time EV customers who want an affordable electric car with SUV styling.
The VF3 comes with an 18.64 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed driving range of 215 km (NEDC). This makes it suitable for daily city use, including office commutes and short trips. Power is sent to the rear wheels, and the motor produces 43.5 PS and 110 Nm of torque, which should be sufficient for everyday driving.
Charging convenience is another highlight. Using DC fast charging, the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 70 percent in about 36 minutes, helping reduce waiting time during busy days.
In terms of design, the VF3 is a 3-door, 4-seater micro-SUV with a 191 mm ground clearance, giving it a tough, SUV-like stance. Inside the cabin, it is expected to feature a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, manual air conditioning, and front power windows, keeping things simple and practical.
If launched as expected in February 2026, the VinFast VF3 could become an attractive option in India’s affordable EV segment, especially for buyers looking for a compact, easy-to-drive electric SUV for city use.
