BMW has officially confirmed the arrival of the first-ever iX3 50 xDrive, marking an important step in the brand’s next-generation electric journey. Scheduled to go on sale in the summer of 2026, the all-electric SUV is expected to start at around $60,000 and promises an impressive driving range of up to 400 miles on a single charge. This places the new iX3 firmly among the longest-range electric SUVs in its segment and highlights BMW’s growing focus on efficiency and everyday usability.

The iX3 50 xDrive will be one of the first models built on BMW’s Neue Klasse philosophy, which brings major changes under the skin. At the heart of the vehicle is BMW’s new “Heart of Joy,” an advanced central control unit that combines drivetrain, braking, and energy recuperation into one integrated system. By managing these functions together, BMW aims to deliver quicker responses, smoother driving, and better energy efficiency than ever before. Paired with BMW’s Dynamic Performance Control system, the result is expected to be a more precise and engaging driving experience, even in an electric SUV.

Beyond performance, the new iX3 also introduces a fresh digital experience. One of the standout features is BMW Panoramic Vision, a new display technology that projects key driving information directly onto the lower section of the windshield. This allows drivers to keep essential details in view without taking their eyes off the road, adding both convenience and safety to daily driving.

BMW has also confirmed that the iX3 lineup will expand further in early 2027, with additional single-motor and dual-motor variants planned. This will give buyers more choice depending on their performance and efficiency needs. With long range, advanced technology, and a clear focus on driver experience, the BMW iX3 50 xDrive signals a confident step toward the brand’s electric future.
