Mahindra XUV700 Facelift to be Called XUV 7XO Launch on January 5, 2026

Mahindra has officially confirmed that the XUV700 facelift will be introduced as the Mahindra XUV 7XO, with its global debut and price announcement set for 5 January 2026. The first teaser reveals major styling updates and confirms the brand’s plan to discontinue the current XUV700 once the 7XO goes on sale.

The teaser showcases a redesigned front fascia featuring dual-pod LED headlamps, inverted L-shaped DRLs, and a new blacked-out grille with silver accents. At the rear, the SUV adopts the LED tail-light design from the XEV 9S, offering a sleeker, more modern look.

Spy shots have also indicated deeper changes, including new alloy wheels, reworked front and rear bumpers, a triple-screen dashboard layout, a two-spoke steering wheel, and upgraded soft-touch cabin materials.

Mechanically, the XUV 7XO is expected to retain the familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.

With Mahindra focusing entirely on the new 7XO, XUV700 production will stop once the facelift arrives. Test drives and bookings will open soon after the official price reveal.
