VinFast is set to expand its India portfolio with the launch of the Limo Green electric MPV in February 2026. This will be the brand’s third offering after the VF6 and VF7 EVs, positioning it directly against upcoming electric MPVs like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7.
VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau confirmed the timeline, stating that the 7-seater Limo Green is scheduled for an early 2026 debut.
Positioned for VinFast’s Upcoming GSM Taxi Fleet
The Limo Green’s India entry is expected to coincide with the rollout of VinFast’s electric ride-hailing service — Green and Smart Mobility (GSM). GSM will operate a fully owned fleet of EVs and two-wheelers, setting it apart from operators like Ola and Uber. India will become GSM’s fifth market after Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Laos.

The Limo Green is expected to form the backbone of this fleet, giving the MPV a strong initial sales push. Production will take place at VinFast’s facility in Tamil Nadu, reinforcing the brand’s local manufacturing strategy.
Limo Green: What to Expect
Spy shots and patent filings have already revealed much about the India-spec model. The Vietnam-spec Limo Green measures 4,740mm in length, 1,872mm in width, and 1,728mm in height, with a 2,840mm wheelbase. For comparison, the BYD eMax 7 sold in India is slightly smaller in both length and width.
Powering the Limo Green is a 60.13kWh battery pack with a claimed 450km NEDC range. The front-mounted electric motor delivers 201hp and 280Nm of torque. Charging options include 11kW AC and 80kW DC fast charging, the latter capable of taking the battery from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes.
Familiar MPV Styling With Practical Interiors
The Limo Green features a clean, traditional MPV design with VinFast’s signature V-shaped elements and slab-sided body panels. Inside, the cabin sticks to a functional layout with a 2+3+2 seating configuration, making it suitable for fleet and family use.

Equipment highlights include:
- 10.1-inch touchscreen
- Four-speaker audio system
- USB charging ports
- Single-zone AC
On the safety front, the MPV offers 4 airbags, ABS, and an electronic parking brake. ADAS features are not available on this model.
With competitive specifications, a practical layout, and a strong fleet deployment strategy, the Limo Green could quickly establish itself in India’s emerging electric MPV segment.
