Maruti Suzuki e Vitara India Launch Tomorrow – Full Details Ahead of Debut

Maruti Suzuki is set to make one of its most significant announcements yet with the launch of the e Vitara, the brand’s first fully electric SUV for India and global markets. The long-awaited EV will be officially unveiled tomorrow, marking Maruti’s entry into the fast-growing electric vehicle segment. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2026.

Production & Export Plans Already Underway

Maruti Suzuki has already begun producing the e Vitara at its state-of-the-art Gujarat manufacturing facility. In fact, the first batch of vehicles has already been exported to Europe and the UK, demonstrating the model’s global importance in Suzuki’s EV portfolio. India’s version will share most of the components and features with the export models, while being priced more competitively for the domestic market.

Variants, Colours, and Powertrain Options

At launch, the Maruti e Vitara will be offered in:

  • Three variants
  • Ten exterior colour options, including dual-tone shades

The electric SUV will offer two battery pack options:

  • 48.8kWh
  • 61.6kWh

Both versions come paired with a front-wheel-drive single electric motor, tuned for a balanced mix of performance and efficiency. Maruti Suzuki claims a maximum driving range of up to 500km on a full charge (MIDC), positioning the e Vitara as one of the longest-range EVs in its expected price bracket.

Fast charging will also be supported, including DC charging that can juice the battery from 0–80% in under an hour.

Feature-Rich Flagship for Maruti

The e Vitara will be Maruti Suzuki’s most technologically advanced SUV to date, slotting above the Grand Vitara in terms of features, equipment, and sophistication. Expected highlights include:

  • Large full-HD touchscreen infotainment system
  • Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise, lane assist, and autonomous emergency braking
  • Fully digital driver’s display
  • 360-degree camera with dynamic guidelines
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Electrically adjustable driver seat (10-way)
  • Wireless charging
  • SmartPlay Pro+ with connected-car tech
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • TPMS, multiple airbags, and enhanced structural safety

Maruti Suzuki is positioning the e Vitara not just as an EV but as a global flagship, intended to showcase the company’s advancements in electrification, software, safety, and premium cabin experience.

Market Expectations

With its blend of long range, competitive pricing, and strong brand trust, the e Vitara is expected to become one of India’s highest-selling EVs once deliveries begin. It will compete with models like the Tata Harrier EV, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, and Toyota’s upcoming electric SUVs.
